Please join me, for my monthly Yoga Nidra class, with the intention of offering yourself a “reset” as you enter the new month.
Yoga Nidra is a dynamic meditation practice that prompts the body to relax deeply while the mind remains inwardly alert. Swami Satyananda Saraswati, a Yoga Nidra pioneer refers to the practice as “reaching the border between waking and sleeping states”. Yoga Nidra can provide deep healing physically, mentally, and emotionally. The physical healing is through release of tension in the body. Mentally, this practice helps to decrease fight/flight responses, and anxious thought patterns. Emotionally, through the practice you begin to let go of being responsible, and surrendering to what is present.
Sara Sisty, LCSW, RYT, will be hosting this class. Sara is a psychotherapist who values incorporating mind-body approaches to healing and overall wellbeing. Sara fell in love with yoga many years ago as a way to manage stress and anxiety while juggling working, and graduate school. Over the years, she has dove deeper into trauma informed care, and the power of Yoga Nidra.
There are a limited number of tickets available to honor participants' experience. Please purchase a ticket ahead of time to ensure the opportunity to participate.
